To infinity and beyond? Nah, just the next blog post. Nothing fancy, nothing really elaborate, just real talk for the moment. When I first started this blog, I wanted it to showcase my thoughts and my photography, but with that came the overthinking and the hesitation. I wanted to blog to be as polished as possible and I wanted the content to be well thought out and easily digestible. But that in itself actually discouraged me from writing in this thing, because I felt like each post had to be as perfect as possible and each post had to be better than the last. The daunting task of achieving that lead to huge bouts with procrastination and I let it win every single time (I’ll do it tomorrow for sure! And then tomorrow came; I’ll do it this weekend! And on and on). Sometimes I felt that not enough people were even reading it to begin with, but sometimes you just have to do it for you. And if you reach at least one person and your story resonates with that one person, then that is pretty awesome and makes it worth the effort. Sometimes I just have to write for the sake of just expressing myself and sharing whatever is on my mind. Most of the time it will be pleasant and light hearted, but then there will be times when it isn’t. And that’s is the commitment I have to make to this thing, to not just share selective thoughts, but to be as open and honest as possible, otherwise, what is the point?

So with that I leave you with this, it’s never going to be the perfect time. Actually, perfect doesn’t exist, stop chasing it. Try your best, don’t overthink it, do it from the heart and just go for it. The rest will sort itself out 😉
