It’s Sunday night and the weekend is slowly starting to wind down. The sun set about 30 minutes ago and I am on this laptop on the roof of my building attempting to string together some words. The weather was nice all weekend and there is a slight breeze at the moment. It’s quiet up here and I couldn’t be happier.
I’m sure that by now, we’ve all heard the term “the Sunday blues”. If you haven’t, google that shit! Just kidding, it’s basically a feeling of melancholy that some people have on Sunday night knowing that the weekend is over and they have to go to work the next morning (for those with a traditional 9to5) and the cycle begins again. It’s inevitable, Monday will come whether you are ready for it or not. They also say that a weekend well spent brings a week of content. But not all weekends are created equal. Some are epic and others are mundane.
Like all things in life (puts on his philosopher hat), everything we deal with is mental to a certain extent. Meaning that you may not be able to control how things go down, but you can control how you deal with it and how you perceive it. Sunday evening doesn’t have to be a dreadful anxiety inducing experience. It can be an opportunity to hype yourself up for the upcoming week. A time to recharge your batteries, plan ahead and prepare for the next couple of days. Having your shit in order come Monday morning helps build momentum for the remainder of the week. The more prepared you are on Monday morning, the more in control you’ll feel and that will have a shit ton of benefits, trust me!
As always, thanks for reading and I hope you have an amazing week!
